Over the years, House of Ing has become synonymous for gourmet Chinese food in the Lansing and Metro Detroit area.  The first House of Ing opened its doors in 1966 in Lansing, Michigan and the Farmington Hills location opened it's doors in March of 1993.

House of Ing, Farmington Hills has received several local awards including "Best Honey Ribs" and "Chicken Lettuce Wraps" from the Detroit News.  Northwest Gazette Reader Choice Dining Award has presented House of Ing with the following awards: "Best Egg Roll 1996", "Best Buffet 1997", "Best Oriental 1998."  Oakland Press rated House of Ing with "4 Cheers" in 1993.  From 1997-2001, the Oakland Heart Healthy Coalition recognized House of Ing as a "Heart Healthy" resturant containing a menu with low fat food items.
